Paul Brown

Billing Manager
As Office Manager for Guide by Cell and its sister divisions, Paul is in charge of billing and finance for all clients, as well as day-to-day human resources duties for the team.

David Chen

Vice President of Engineering
David works with our IT staff on all software development, implementation plans and project direction. He is an experienced Software Developer/Programmer and has worked with teams in Canada, China and the United States. He is a graduate of Shenyang University of Technology with a B.S. in computer science.

Jun Guo

Senior Software Engineer
Jun joined our team in 2005 with a background in Interactive Voice Response systems. He received a B.A. from Shanghai University.

Sharon Gorla

Software Engineer
Sharon joined our engineering team with a background in all aspects of software development, including analysis, design, testing and deployment. She has worked with clients such as Ericsson, HP and Honda on building enterprise applications. Sharon holds an M.S. in computer science from California State University at Sacramento.

Kent Don

Lead Telco Software Engineer
For over 17 years, Kent has designed and built interactive communications solutions for organizations in the US, Canada and overseas, with a focus on telephony and the integration of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) applications and Web technologies. He has worked in unified messaging, patient information delivery, security solutions, and voice and text message applications for e-commerce transactions and is an expert in the telco field.

TG Tran

Software Engineer
TG joined our team in 2010 and manages the hardware components. He has 15 years of experience as a network engineer. TG graduated from the University of Hawaii with a B.S. in mechanical engineering.

Jason Ballard

Solutions Consultant
Jason R. Ballard comes to Guide by Cell by way of Austin, Texas, where he was the Director of Operations for an international retail company. A graduate from Texas State University, Jason has an extensive career in the educational technology industry that focused on the advancement of the “21st Century Classroom.” At Guide by Cell, his mission is to help cultivate the usefulness of mobile technology in cultural entities and non-profit organizations to achieve their goals.

Dustin Montero

Solutions Consultant
A native of Lafayette, CA, Dustin received his B.A. in Psychology from CSU Sacramento. He has experience with non-profit organizations through an internship with United Cerebral Palsy in Orange County, and has also gained customer interaction experience in his multiple years in the restaurant industry.

John Suau

Director of Mobile Museum Technology
John comes to the Guide by Cell team with over 25 years of working with museums, museum associations, artists and non-profit/cultural organizations. He spent over 8 years working in southern Europe between Spain, Italy and Portugal and over 10 years working between the American Alliance of Museums and the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums, where he helped create the critically acclaimed “Building Museums” symposium. Most recently, he worked on Sanibel Island, Florida assisting a mid-sized natural science museum implement audio tours and interactive visitor experiences via mobile technology. His leadership in the museum field is widely recognized throughout the United States and international museum communities.

Ute Hülse

Manager of European Operations
Born and raised in Germany, Ute Hülse moved to the U.S. to further her education mid-career. After graduating with an MBA from Hawaii Pacific University, she applied her degree for a decade in marketing and public relations for 2 large U.S. health care organizations in Honolulu. She is a former employee of the German American Chamber of Commerce for the Western United States, and acts as liaison to our German partner and clients, combining American software technology with German market knowledge.

Yana Tychynska

Sales Intern
Originally from Ukraine, Yana received her undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University, where she majored in International Business/International Economic Relations. She assists the administrative and sales team in their daily duties and helps to maintain client networking. She is also fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian.

Megan Veneracion

Director of Mobile Giving & Client Relations
Megan has a sales background in selling insurance and wedding gowns. She grew up in Huntington Beach, California and is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a double major in politics and sociology.

Kat Cornelius

Product Development
Kat has been working with Guide by Cell, Train by Cell’s parent company, since 2007 in various capacities, including administration and customer service. She currently helps design and test Guide by Cell’s mobile applications. She holds a Bachelors Degree in music and is currently working on a Masters Degree in ESL.

Marketing

Ryan Flores

Graphic Designer
Ryan is the graphic designer at Train by Cell. In addition to design, his creative background includes photojournalism, videography, animation and audio production. He is also currently a graphic & layout designer for various print newspapers and online magazines.

Nicole Donner

Communications and Social Media Manager
With a strong background in marketing and social media, Nicole joined the team to helm their outreach through social media mediums like Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc. She had previously worked as a Marketing Assistant at independent publishing companies, Cleis Press and Viva Editions. Nicole is a graduate of Portland State University with a bachelors of science degree in communication with a minor in psychology.

Jensen Luther

Graphic Design Intern
Jensen grew up by the beach, and then moved to San Francisco to pursue a degree in visual communications. While in school, she found that she enjoys working with startups and has been doing so ever since. Jensen joined the team to lend a hand in design matters.
